I used some of this with ok results, then I realized it's just diluted bleach. Of course bleach isn't great for metals. There was some residue from the spray that stayed on for about 20 hours before I could take it to a car wash. Hopefully I didn't screw up the clear coat and paint in the long run around the windows.

those cerakote wipes are really really excellent.

 

10-4, they truly are. I used it to bring back the color on the two moldings on the roof. They started to turn a ghostly white!

Note the bottom trim where it lightly got wiped. I have to do that trim also.

 

I've had the same problem with the rear window trim. Not a big deal but it looks bad. I've also tried a lot of different products. Looks like the rubber trim is etched. My truck sits outside but I wash it regularly and have used trim protectant since I bought the truck new. I'll try the sand paper solution.
