    You left out the part about looking like a Dalmation once the job is finished! Its a greasy super messy job and those factory clamps love to slip off if they arent done properly, even when using the proper tools (I have the factory style clamping tool for those jobs) they can slip off if the detent in which the boot embossment fits into the depression.
    You want to clean all the grease from the boot and axle engagement point and then clamp them, but thats easier said than done. That pesky grease gets absolutely everywhere!

    2006 also depends on what the millage is on the truck, they are 17 years old. I would replace both.

    Is it worth doing CVJ axles or just go with OEM and boot slide mod?? I’m currently at about 3.5” of lift but almost positive it has sagged/settled cause of my front bumper.
