The moon was near the sun rise at the house this morning when I left.

I stopped by the boat ramp to get some more pics.

@StayinStock this guy had it figured out. Put the camper on the truck and the boat behind it, sleep at the boat ramp to beat the crowd. The lake was like glass and the fish were jumping like crazy. One problem, dude was still sleeping and there was another truck with a boat pulling in when I left.

I saw a sign like this yesterday, has anyone here ever been pulled over by a plane?

That's what I thought, me neither.

The host of the place we're staying at told us we could walk to the end of the road, go around the fence, and follow the trail to a small beach then walk the shoreline to the main beach. He forgot to tell us the trail splits 5 times and goes up 400 feet in elevation. We got "pretty" close to the water, horizontally, but never vertically. It was still a nice walk, but a long route to the beach.

I think Virginia is the only state with those signs. Here in South Carolina speed is not controlled much.

I wonder if you could fight it in court, in Virginia, IF you got a speeding ticket and told the judge "I saw a sign that said speed limit is enforced by aircraft, the sign said nothing about a car or suv, therefore since I was pulled over by a car, this ticket is void"

I hope to never find out :anonymous:

They'll radio your vehicle color and description to dispatch or a waiting highway patrol and they'll nab ya. I always keep one of my lazy eyes pointed to the sky to keep an eye out for low flying aircraft. It's typically a four seat piston or turboprop Cessna and they'll just do one pass up and down the road then call it a day. It can't keep flying all day without a pit stop so it'll typically leave the airport and do a loop around the monitored road then return for gas. You can tell because the aircraft is flying relatively low to the ground compared to the other traffic in the sky. They clock your speed with a stop watch by timing how long it takes you to pass the lines marked across the road. It's pretty neat how they do it.

It’s kinda like Plinko. You just know if you’re underneath oil will find your face….just not where you’re thinking it’s coming from.

    If

I was the slightest bit athletic...

    and

I wasn't afraid of the water...

That would be a great place for one of these:

    GVL_0014.jpg

I bet you could make some impressive speed on that calm water. :rocket:

I've thought about taking our kayaks there, would be good in one of the coves. That is a recreational lake and gets so crowded on the weekends though.
