Recently had a new muffler installed on my truck. I am now getting quite a bit of vibration inside the truck. The colder it is outside the worse it gets. I got under the truck and noticed that there is no play for the exhaust to move on the rubber hangers. The exhaust it really tight and there was never any bends installed on the exhaust pipe, just welded straight pipe to straight pipe. The shop said it is normal for the exhaust to be that tight on the hangers. My question is.. Is't there supposed to be a little bit of play for the exhaust to move around? I assume it is worse duing colder days because the rubber hanger is stiffer.
