    My next option to quieten it down would be resonators just ahead of the bumper. Not much room at all under there.

    There’s a guy locally with an LS BRZ and has the motor tuned like whodathunkit. Man, it sounds so good.

    His has the 3" MBRP axle back. We just need to tie into it. He's been contemplating a resonator of sorts, prior.

    I’d look for the biggest and longest resonator that’d fit in the tunnel. If he was contemplating it with the smaller motor he’ll definitely want something with the LS. Or maybe not. I’d love to hear it when finished.

    What happens when e85 sits in a tank over a year, then you jump the battery off and drive it 15 minutes to see if the battery will hold a charge, to find out it doesn't so you r place the battery a few days later only to hear a terrible noise, just to have to wait 2 weeks until i had time to pull the spark plugs... This is a long question just to say "water was in the gas and got in the cylinders"... It exited quit violently when I turned it over without spark plugs btw as noted by the wet spot on my hood, fuse box and batteryIMG_20240307_170506_815.jpg

    Well luckily the company that bought our company out 6 months ago, is about to cause a mutiny so I may have a ton of free time coming up for plenty of projects

    Sooooo did it break anything, or is there a chance that nothing was harmed?

    Will Stabil Marine grade even work to prevent E85 from separation? I know it does in fuel with up to ~10% E85

    I don't think anything is broken, all cylinders were blowing out on compression/exhaust stroke and sucking in on the intake/power strokes. I'm not sure if anything could help with that much alcohol in an average of 123% humidity lol

    In news related to my truck, phew, I really need to work on the tune for daily driving. Just need to spend some good time with it. Haven't driven it much over the last few years, besides working on projects on it.

    I was rear ended in my Bimmer in December. Not badly though, and had been driving it up until last Thursday, when I dropped it off for repairs. Driving the truck has made me really want to spend some time to refine its operations. As well as finally get that built T56 Magnum.

    Still getting between 70-80 miles per quarter tank, but the fuel table needs some work, as well as the transient throttle mapping. Once I get some time to spend on that, it will happen.

    Usually it's an alignment issue to make your steering go off. Believe it's not possible to skip a tooth without having a complete rack failure. I've blown out rack seals before.

    Mine did, years ago. Time to finally fix it. Came across another guy on the forum mention that he had the same problem. Hit something and it skipped a tooth.

    That's got to be a big hit to deflect the rack to get enough tolerance to clear a tooth. Not saying it isn't possible. Maybe it's tundra rack or Howe time. Or consider a slider. Did one on mine and Wow what an improvement.

    Yeah, was avoiding an accident on the freeway, at night time. Veered off quickly to the exit. Didn't notice the base to a sign that had been missing for who knows how long. Except the base that was concreted into the ground, remained. Right tire hit it, and instantly the steering wheel was off.

    Being that the truck is a street truck, with relatively small tires, the Howe is out of scope. A Tundra rack may be a good option. Which Tundra?

    Any chance it's a bent tie rod inner?

    I'm not sure which rack, but there is someone modding them for offroad use. I saw it awhile back but doesn't work with my 1st gen so havnt thought about it until now.

    Oh no. Not bent. This was 6 or 7 year ago BTW.

    The other reason that I can tell it is off a tooth, is when turning to full lock on one side pops.

    The easiest method would be swapping in a new rack. If I can fix this one, that would be better. I'll have to do some digging.
