Hey all I am needing some help with suspension options, my truck is on a 6" Fabtech Drop Bracket lift (which sucks I know). I am wanting to change out the suspension so it doesn't ride like a rock which I understand ride quality is going to be compromised by a drop bracket lift (previous owner installed it). Ive looked into taking the drop bracket off and putting it on some fox shocks, but being in college I'm not able to afford that right now. I mainly overland with the vehicle rather than rock crawl so the ground clearance isn't an issue I'm just wanting to improve ride quality while still having quality suspension (not rough country). Still pretty new to trying to do this all on my own I've looked everywhere on the internet and just don't want to make such a large purchase without guaranteed fitment. Thank you all!

I would suggest living with the current setup until you can afford the Fox setup or other premium suspension you want.

I bought and installed Bilstein 5100s a couple years back, (which would be the standard recommendation you'll get for your current situation). The 5100s are decent, but my friend has the Fox 2.0s on his '98 Tacoma ($1300 for front coilovers and rear shocks together), and they're so much better than my Bilstein setup. A complete Bilstein setup will still likely be $700-800. You'll be so much happier saving until you have the $1300 for the Fox setup.

I agree with red. If it’s mechanically sound now. I would wait until you can afford to do the changes you want.
