I asked this in the Gen 2 Tacoma boards, but it's probably better to ask here. I'm finally looking at upgrading my head unit to something modern, and I'm looking for the best made double-DIN faceplate. The only two options I've found are:

Scosche TA2053B Dash Kit (Gray) Fits select 2005-08 Toyota Tacoma vehicles — double-DIN radios at Crutchfield

Metra 99-8214 Dash Kit (Gray/Silver) Fits select 2005-11 Toyota Tacoma vehicles — single- or double-DIN radios at Crutchfield

Is one better than the other, or is there another option?

I’ve got the Metra 95-8214 with a textured front, nice if your climate controls are textured. It’s a nice kit, but I had to do some modifications to the brackets to get a second screw per side in my headunit, and the hazard button hole was “off”, requiring some sanding with a dremel.
