Wondered if that was the case.
So, if anyone is interested in making bookoo money design something that performs like a cat but isn't made of valuable material.

I went with Talons. I often leave my truck at urban and rural boat ramps for 1-3 consecutive nights and no problems so far.

IMO, Lead Therapy™ or Drop-The-Jack is a better and long term cure for cat thieves.
This thievery is chronic in our area and catastrophic in nature, because many of the cars are considered "totaled" due to the expense of repairs.

For a current model diesel pickup, the stolen smog equipment is more than $7,000 in parts alone.
    Labor (substantial) is additional.

Ordered a set from Cali Raised. Anxious to get them installed. Fortunately my wife’s cousin is a retired mechanic and has a lift at his home shop so I won’t have to try to maneuver my 66 year old body underneath the truck.
Glad I found this site and appreciate the wealth of knowledge from all you good folks.

    I totally get it I'm 66 too - and I remind myself every day I'm not 23 anymore -

This site is truly fantastic. Good people giving good information with some
good old fashioned ribbing and b.s. thrown in for good measure.

I think JD Powers ranked it #1 for 4 years in a row.

worth every penny considering how much tailgates cost to replace.

Can tailgates be ripped off if a camper shell is in place?
I have an ARE on order for mine.

(Very) Happy with my Cali raised shields.

Not happy with criminals stealing cats, getting caught, and getting released x infinity due to crappy laws.

We are glad you are happy with our cat shields! Yes that is very unfortunate that they are released and do it all over again.

I have the Talon's Garage powder coated shield on my Tacoma. Kinda like the look of the Cali Raised ones more in hindsight but really as long as it works I'm happy

My F250 I had before this Tacoma had its catalytic converter stolen right out of my driveway in 2 minutes (the sawing noise woke me up but not fast enough), so not looking to repeat that situation again with a nicer new Taco.

Anyone have specific reviews/recommendations for manual transmissions?

I noticed some manufacturers state must be automatic only while others say works with both

I just ordered a set of Cali Raised for mine. It is always parked in my driveway and I work at home, but I’ll be in Moab for a few days in a couple weeks and am about worried about that.

It’s probably more likely to get hit in your driveway.

If they want to scale our 6’ cedar privacy fence they can give it a try. At least there will be video of them.

We need more Karma like the incident that occurred in our area several years ago. They found a guy crushed underneath a vehicle that fell off the jack and he had been there multiple days before the owner discovered it. This was inside a barn in a rural area being used to store vehicles. The authorities concluded it was obvious he had been in the process of removing cats when it happened.
