My check engine light bulb was out (I didn't notice) I replace bulb mechanic said there were 3 codes evap and cat and check engine light. He reset it said drive it see if light comes on again. I've been back twice no check engine light (that now works) but computer says not ready waiting for 2 evap and cat WTH I've driven 600 miles highway and in town how long until ready?

IMO that should be more than enough
Assuming CE lite not on and throwing no codes

The evaporative monitor will not run until the following conditions have been met.

The fuel tank has to be between 1/4 and 3/4 full
The intake air temp sensor and the engine coolant temp sensor have to be within 15* of each other and there has to be a minimum of 8 hours sitting... all this means is that the engine has to be cold.
This has to happen 2 times.

This is the simplest cat monitor proceedure
