Keyless Tailgate Lock??

Alright, I just installed the FICBOX keyless entry system to my 01 Tacoma PreRunner and it works like a dream. It's so satisfying! Now I was wondering if it's possible to rig up a lock for the tailgate that would work with the trunk button on the key fob?? Has anyone done this? TIA!

My '03 has a liftgate on the ARE cap and the power lock is tied into that. When I click the fob it locks doors and the liftgate... Pretty sweet, but previous owner installed so I can't speak to details.

 

I have the pop and lock tailgate solenoid and it works well. I had to modify it by adding some foam rubber to keep it from slowly sliding back into the lock position over time.

I also built my own power locks for all 5 latches on my topper so the whole rear of the truck has power locks now.
