Raptor 4" oval rails, OEM door sill protectors, totally debadged, OEM mud guards, OEM bed mat, OEM S/S tail pipe extension, BDT tailgate letters, Weather Tech sun screen.
No major issues, just several recalls for minor issues-i.e.-squeaking rear springs, mositure in license plate lights, rear door window seals not properly installed (held water when it rained), rear differential seal was not properly torqued, transmission shift points recalibrated, front bushing (replaced) would make noise when wheels were turned hard in either direction, etc. All minor recalls or fixes...no longer than an hour or so at the dealership each time. Great Toyota tech as he always called me when a recall was announced. Keep in mind I bought one of the first third gens to arrive at the dealership. Not one issue with the 20' TRDOR.

No problem with the ridge line. Also no problem checking in on TW often. The rules don’t state you must have a Tacoma to be a member.

I like the ridgeline, it is roomy front and rear, gets good gas mileage, rides smooth, the extra storage below the truck bed is amazing.

Wish I had a ridgeline myself but having 2 jet skis I wasn’t sure how it would pull them. My 20 Tacoma paid off with 21k will be sticking around a while but I have a suv I drive daily so it’ll work. Congrats

Sorry for your loss. I have experienced that as well, and it's certainly life changing.

I think well over 50% of Tacoma owners would be well served by a Ridgeline, assuming they even need something more than a light utility trailer for occasional mulch hauling. I'd certainly consider one if they had a bit smaller version. I like the foot print of my 5 lug.

    PXL_20231215_212059497.jpg

And with my low mileage driving, no off roading and no snow driving, the 'comfort' and no AWD/4wd part doesn't matter, just as long as the jukebox and windbag work. And mostly the windbag.

All the best for the healing of your heart and adjustment to the next season of life.

    Very sorry for your loss.

Good luck with the RL. I looked at it when I was shopping, they are reliable, and the back seat room and reasonable exterior size are definite plusses.

Sorry to hear of your loss Doc.

I admit I was looking at the Ridgeline last year when I bought my 23 Sport.

The Honda was a close second. You will enjoy it, the Honda will treat you well. For a daily driver, pavement type truck, the Ridgeline might actually be a better choice

Well, you did just trade a TOYota truck with around 1000 lbs payload for a Honda with 1600 lbs payload. Which is the real truck?

Always had a soft spot for the Ridgeline but after looking at Fuelly, one would expect the Ridgeline to get about the same economy as the Tacoma, or at least close, so I didn't look super closely; are you really pulling 27 out of that thing?

Good morning and thank you for putting your thoughts in this forum I found in Sep 2021.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of your wife.

You've made some important decisions in life and buying the Honda Ridgeline on top of reducing your vehicle/motorcycle ownership makes sense.

As everyone has said, keep on logging on TW...even though you don't own one anymore.

Will you join the Ridgeline Forum? Maybe that will keep you busy instead of being here?

My mother turned 81 last month and continues to keep herself active as a Financial SME (Subject Matter Expert)...for the church she attends.

Both my mom & step dad find themselves helping others by taking friends who can't drive to their appointments.

They keep busy lives interacting with family/friends/community.

I texted my mother this morning since it had been a while from my last message...to tell her how much I love and appreciate her.

Stick around here...sounds like folks are eager to keep you company. :)

    Sorry for your loss Doc.
The Ridgeline is a very reliable vehicle and I am sure it will serve you well.
    Wishing you the best.

    Our condolences.

Nothing wrong with the Ridgeline, has better more practical storage features than a Tacoma. I seriously considered one, but it missed the mark on a few things. Tacoma isn’t perfect either, but checked a few more boxes.

It is just a vehicle, who cares what people think, just means they are small minded. :)

Sorry for your loss. The Ridgeline is a good vehicle. It serves your needs. No shame in that.

Sorry for your loss brother. Going on 32 years on marriage here. Losing my wife would leave me lost.

just because you have a Ridgeline doesn’t mean you can’t come here and rub your gas mileage in our faces. lol.

Like the others have said, I hope you stick around Doc.

I don’t think anyone would fault you even if you told us you purchased a pink Prius!

I can’t imagine dealing with the loss of a spouse. You drive whatever on god’s green earth makes you happy, sir :hattip:

Sorry for your very personal loss. Hopefully there’s a little comfort from the positive thoughts that you’re receiving from some good folks here.

Ridgeline’s a decent choice, last of the legendary v-tec’s Would be great to hear your perspective on the new truck vs your Tacoma.

And why go away now? The show that is also known as the Gen4 launch is just starting. Pull up a chair, grab your popcorn, share your thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss, Doctor. Congratulations on your new vehicle. I wish you all the best with it. In the end, the only person we need to make happy is ourselves. Good on you!!!
