It's a top priority for the truck..but lower in priority compared to house projects (says the wife). Been managing bath remodels at my house since the end of summer. Eating up my time and $

Are you still happy with the AuCar head unit? Any regrets? I’m planning on buying one but want to make sure it’s not a bad decision.
    Thanks.

Yes, still pretty happy with it ever since Android auto started working consistently. I still need to troubleshoot SWC and camera views and I'll be satisfied.

That’s the one. I believe that one is either the 2nd or 3rd one. Not sure what happened on the drive side bank, is that a heat shield? Wasn’t there when I had it.

Hey Dwayne! Hope all is well! This ended up in my lap and I ain't complaining! That is indeed a heat shield that was added since your ownership.

I threw my stock ypipe on because my bi-annual smog check is up in December. But once the smog test is done, your old JFR ypipe and keg exhaust is going on and off to Mexico! :mudding:

Going to put some miles on it and heat cycle it a few times and address some exhaust leaks. Not sure if I need a retune since I'm replacing a URD offroad y-pipe with this JFR....but we shall see!

Took 3 install attempts to resolve the exhaust leaks. It was a matter of properly lining up the pipes and mating the ends for the v-bands to clamp them tight. It was easier said than done with only 1x pair of hands and working off your back. Having a lift and jack/lift supports would have made this install successful the first time.

I also found the urd gaskets worked best with my setup of the Doug Thorley shortie Headers + JFR y-pipe because the thickness of the remflex gaskets caused clearance issues for me.

    20240101_145916.jpg 20240101_145934.jpg

The urd gasket sits inside the cavity of the flange. The remflex gasket extends to the eyelets of the flange. Difference of maybe an 1/8" but it mattered for me because tolerances/clearance were super tight near the crossmember and the ypipe primary/secondary connection joint.

The current setup of DT shorties, catted jfr ypipe and keg muffler is noticeably quieter at WOT than the previous setup of DTST, urd ypipe, and Wicked Flow muffler.

Got my truck weighed today at the Sunnyvale SMART Station, which is the garbage/recycling facility for a few neighborhoods. I trust their scale to be pretty precise.

4960 lbs with driver (170lbs of pure :muscleflexing:) and full(ish) tank of gas. Full size spare wheel/tire (~100lbs) in the bed. Low-profile front bumper (~70lbs). I.C.E. equipment (~50lbs).

My painfully slow journey to the 37s is going to be one step closer.

Late March install appointment at Valley Differential for the REM finished Revolution Gears 4.56 gearset. (Thx @techfinsoup for the referral!)

Bad ass bro! I went up to MET to test the rear lockers couple weeks ago. Works, no leaks, and no issues whatsoever. I’m extremely happy with Valley Differentials.
