On my trip yesterday, all highway 120 miles round trip, cruise set at 74mph I got 15.95 miles per gallon. 265/70/17 tires 3” lift. Does this seem about right?

Seems about right to me for having oversize tires and a lift, are they P tires or LT tires?

Sounds about right— I got a 2” lift and 33” mud tires, 14mpg average. When I have my camping gear on(case, rotopax, RTT) it’s an mpg or 2 down haha.

Also seems to be in the ballpark to me.
I have a ~2.5" suspension lift and a more aggressive but stock tire size. The thing that kills my fuel mileage is my AT Atlas topper. That duckbill hanging over the front of the truck really catches the wind.
I average 14-15 mpg with a mix of town & highway driving, but often closer to 13-14 when all loaded down for a camp/bike/etc type of trip. Mountain passes, 80 mph speed limits, and high winds are not a good combo for fuel efficiency.

Slowing down and keep it closer to 65 and I'm betting you'll get 18+. My 2007 has 265/75/16's on it, same overall size. I've had 53 lb E rated tires on it and 38 lb P rated tires on it with a 180 lb cap. My fuel mileage has never changed since new. Around 17 for everyday driving and 19-20 on similar road trips as long as I keep it under 70. The only time I've seen 16 mpg on the road was when driving 400 miles into a strong headwind.

My suspension has been stock until recently, but I've not driven it since lifting it. Literally 30 minutes after I finished the lift my granddaughter picked up my truck because her car is in the shop. She's been driving it for almost 3 weeks so I can't say how much if any the lift has changed anything.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
The last time I saw 74 mph was back in 2009.

"Custom" 3in Flowmaster Super 50 Series cat back with a 3in Speedys Snap resonator. J&L catch can. AMP Powersteps
Sounds about right for the mods you have on the truck and the speed.

that speed could be a bit high for this truck. But different areas traffic moves at different speeds, to keep up with it and not obstruct flow, depending on which lane.

Lift on any truck is gonna cause MPG decrease because it's no longer as low to the ground and aerodynamic.
