I’m old school and still buy cd’s then rip them to my computer . And either put the music on a flash drive or my iPod.

HDTracks.com , in Canada ca.7digital.com, those are for “keeper” albums. For streaming and playlists Apple Music. Plug your phone into the head unit, set streaming quality to “Lossless”, and CD quality music at your fingertips.

Rip CDs to thumb drives - high bitrate .mp3 or .wav. I can't tell the difference between the 2 when actually driving with all the other noises.

Apple Music for streaming - really dig the vast lossless library as well as the spatial audio stuff.

I pay for Youtube premium & have used Youtube music enough to know that it sounds terrible.

I get a fair amount of my music from my local library. They have a huge selection and I just bring them home and rip to my computer and then burn onto a CD or thumb drive. Best part is that it's free.

    I'm the weirdo.

LiveX. Has high bitrate streaming with offline caching of both playlists and algorithm suggested stations. It's more than good enough for mid grade speakers and insulation in a truck that's still noisy as fuck.

It's my go-to on road trips that might or might not have cell service all week.

I have Spotify and Pandora subscriptions for streaming. If I want to buy an album, I use iTunes. I’m a big music guy and I think the quality of all 3 is very good.

actually, i still have a dual-deck Marantz in a closet somewhere.

i spend a fair amount of time on discogs looking for CD versions of music i bought (or otherwise obtained - i used to work in a record warehouse in the late 80s) many years ago in cassette form. i think all those cassettes are in the same closet.

I don’t buy/purchase digital downloads of music any more. haven’t in years after being hacked and loosing thousands in monies and music. That being said, I still have a boat load of old CD’s in boxes. New stuff that like is all looked up and played through Pandora (free version).
