So for the first time since I bought the truck in 2012 I got in to drive to work this morning and it wouldn’t start. I was just bragging to a coworker about how it has ‘never’ let me down!

    the basics are:

2007 trd sport with 4.0 liter engine

truck would turn over strong, just seems like it’s not getting fuel.

There is fuel in the tank. I have not had any problems or symptoms prior. I last drove it two days prior.

One thing I noticed was when you tried turning it over and turned the key back to the off position there was a unusual sound coming from the direction of the fuel tank which I know is where the fuel pump is located.

I don’t want to drop the fuel tank without knowing I’m fixing the problem. How would an expert troubleshoot this in order to know it is the pump?

Any light you can shed would help?

    Problem solved.

It was a bad key. Used my other set of keys and it started right up.

    Glad I continued to troubleshoot.
