Hey guys want some tips here
So I’m doing all door speakers and tweets with alpines next generation s. Now for a sub I wanted a Rockford Fosgate p300 8 or 10 any idea where to put these baby’s . The 8 fits behind the seat but the 10 doesn’t . Anyone fiddle with subs .

I’ll post a picture of what I’m thinking of doing so far

Shallow 10" will fit in a box behind the seat. A box like a Mr. MARV.

IMO, 8" or 10" depends on the music you listen to. If you want a boomier low end or tighter response.

So ... 2 square feet of deadener per door?

120 bucks for a wire kit and 180 for a LOC is where they are sucker-punching.

You should've put some $$$ into that systems instead of cheaping out!!! (J/K)

That's going to be one hell of a system man.

    Those labor prices HURT
And that 4awg amp kit is absurd. About 8 inch only needs a 10 gauge.
you also don’t really need the LOC with those Rockford subs

I'm running 2 10" shallows behind my rear seats. 1200w amp and alpine door speakers. Only thing I haven't touched yet is the tweets.

I'll check tomorrow cuz honestly it's been years since I looked. I installed this system like 8years ago.
I also no longer have rear seats. Removed them and built a plywood back panel I use my truck for work. So it's packed with tools.

for comparison..I installed this last month and it sounds excellent:

    Kicker 6x9 components w/ 2"tweeters https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20648KSS26/Kicker-48KSS269.html
    Kicker 6.5s https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20651KSC65/Kicker-51KSC6504.html
    Kenwood 5 channel w/ bass knob https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113X8025/Kenwood-Excelon-X802-5.html
    Kicker shallow 10" box https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20648TT102/Kicker-48TCWRT102.html
    wire kit https://www.crutchfield.com/p_142PA8BX/EFX-PA8BX-Wiring-Kit.html
    harness https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XK4RXFD?ie=UTF8

    I followed this exactly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD8QAdUbTyI&t=540s

Install was so easy, only hiccup was the sub...had to remove the plastic seat backing and trim the back bin but it sits perfect and sounds terrific. Total cost around $1k and a HUGE upgrade over stock....

@Musky man As a fellow Canuck I feel you. Finding gear for a decent price is a long, painful journey sometimes. For the US crowd, as an example, I purchased the Morel Tempo Ultra 6x9 component set. For you $500, for us $650. Yeah, that’s just speakers. Amps and headunits are brutal! Not to mention, we don’t get HALF the cool toys you get in the States. It’s hard to piece together something nice.

So both of my 10" subs are kicker shallows. Not sure why I couldn't remember that.
