Ya got me ,my 2008 doesn’t even have Bluetooth
If your phone screen can be loaded up to your Tacoma I would think you could do it .

Should work if you have carplay. Just be sure to download the offline maps. Then when you hit the trail take the app offline ("go offline" in maps section). - That way you're pulling info from your map library instead of the cell service. This will give you the map and basic controls, (zoom in/out, drop waypoint on your location) Or you could look into an upgrade like Linkswell, Inc - or Stinger offroad.
