Wedge RTT on Bed Rack

Hey everyone,

I have a cab height bed rack but would love to have a wedge style RTT. The problem is that most wedge tents are pretty long and would overhang if I put them on the bed rack. The bed rack isn’t tall enough that I could have the RTT overhanging the cab.

I have a 2019 DCSB. Does anyone know of a shorter wedge style RTT that would fit on the bed rack with little to no overhang? I know it may be a little more uncomfortable for sleeping but I’m on the shorter side and have slept in the bed fine before so it shouldn’t be a problem.

 

RTT companies try to make their tents large enough to fit a wide variety of buyers. Short tents would only sell to short people, and that's kind of like shooting yourself in the foot as a business. If you want a shorter tent you'll have to get something that folds out to the side.

 

Why do you want a wedge vs other hardshell ones?

 

Mainly I like the style, how low profile they are, most being less than 100lbs, and the super easy setup.

You might need a slightly taller rack.......or tent risers.
