My axel is covered in grime and grease and oil from the brake to the dif on my passenger side no oil coming from the front of the truck spraying back onto the axel. Thinking it’s an axel seal which makes a lot of sense. Can’t find any guides to repair it online. Any tips. The wheel doesn’t shake when I kick it.

You "can" diy it but honest for the troubles and tooling required this is one of those things i'd say to just take to Toyota.

You wouldn't really ever see much for play at the rear axle unless the drive axle is about to leave the chat group.

It’s always a good idea to clean and check again but not in this case. The shock looks dry and that is way too much seepage to be oil from the shock.
There’s nothing else around the area that can leak like that besides the axle seal. You’ll need to remove the drum and you’ll find everything contaminated. You’ll need to replace the axle seal along with the rear brakes and diff fluid. Make sure you top off the diff fluid until you get it repaired. Otherwise you risk damaging the diff.

I would think the rear axle seal would be leaking through the drum and getting the inside of the wheel all full and slinging off the wheel.
It's difficult for me to believe a bad axle seal sprayed all over the differential but stranger things have happened.

There is something else going on to me. No oil on the wheels or rims at all? That is really strange with all the oil on the axle housing. Wonder if there is a small crack in the housing itself.

The shock looks all twisted in the lower shock mount and your leaf springs are all misaligned.

Pull wheel and then drum. Brakes axle end would be covered.

I think that housing is cracked at or right by the spring perch.
