Last Saturday I drove my 2022 TRD Sport 6MT from New Hampshire to Maryland; thinking it would be safe to run the Cross Bronx to the GWB instead of crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge, I didn't take I-287 when I had the chance. Bad move. There was a bad accident on the upper deck of the GWB which backed things up well into the Bronx.

Even with that issue as well as a few other weather related accidents which slowed traffic to a crawl, I ended up not needing fuel until I got down to the Susquehanna River; just a hair over 400 miles on one tank. :)

It took 19.1 gallons. The Distance To Empty display had only gone to zero miles a few miles up the road.

Interesting..I have put over 19 gallons in before. Maybe the old memory is failing me a bit, I would like to think there wouldn’t be THAT much variation truck to truck.

Nice! I average that for for my commute, road tripping if kept at 65-70 will bump up to 22-23.

LOL, the only time I drive that slow is when the roads are congested. For the trip I took Saturday I was moving well over 70 when traffic allowed, and when it didn't, well, I just went with the flow.

I get a very consistent MPG up to 60-65... Anything higher the MPG's fall off a cliff.

No two trucks are identical. The computer reads and interprets resistance from the senders the same, but the sender and tanks are going to vary just a tiny bit.

This is probably why some guys can fit 44” Super Swampers on a bone stock truck, while others rub their mud flaps with 265/75R16..

Too many speeding tickets and a suspended license cured me of the “need for speed” lol!

now I just try and stay out of the way, and let you speeders run interference. :D

I am virtually never the fastest on the road; between here New Hampshire and Maryland, when traffic is flowing, regardless of whether it is a rural two-lane stretch of interstate, or winding through an urban area, traffic routinely runs 75 and often much higher.

Whatever the speed limit is, that is what I set the cruise at, I am pretty much the slowest guy on the road.

Rarely drive the interstate which is 80 for passenger vehicles, 70 for trucks outside city limits, I just set it at 70, and let most everyone blow past me while I enjoy somewhat decent fuel economy. :)

Can't wait for the summer gas again. This winter gas is killing my mileage. Best mileage so far, last August: (ACLB 3.5 auto 4x4 with 265/70R17 Duratracs)

Not slow at all; with the exception of when traffic was crawling due to the accidents (the one on the Cross Bronx had me under 10 mph for nearly an hour, and much of that time was inching along or fully stopped), for the rest of the trip I was somewhere between 75 and 82 mph (typically in the middle or right lane and getting passed by easily half of the traffic).
