In reference to the above post.. I bought this ambulance last fall from Mattel Creations.



Then, I just went to the Target and found this!

There were two left at Target CB when I left this morning.

Well, today was a day full of surprises. All good to say the least. Found some time to knock out some cosmetic refreshing on the exterior of my Taco. Once my lady arrived home from work, we hit the local grocery store to re up on some much needed essentials and grub! To my surprise I spotted the green 911 hanging out all by itself down the toys isle, once I spotted that I had to look further. After turning the corner I saw a random shelf with some vintage racing club cards. Mostly all the gold Lambos and a few 300 sl Benz’s. Once I moved some other toys around I spotted the last vette, bmw and camaro. Talk about getting stoked. Hope y’all’s evening is great.

 

It amazes me seeing everything posted and knowing I will never see most of this stuff in my area. Damn vultures. Around here most of it never makes it to the display. Stockers are pulling it for themselves or holding them for the vultures who I am sure give them a few bucks for doing so. I have actually seen the vultures waiting outside the stockroom waiting for their employee to bring out what they stashed with a call or text. Maybe I would be better off collecting what nobody else wants. Less hassle.

 

I’ve been making low ball offers on eBay for the “harder to find things” around the end of the month when rent is coming up and have had decent luck. I figure the money I’m saving by not buying stuff in the store allows me to buy the better stuff. But I haven’t really been buying anything lately. Even my wife has noticed. I don’t think you want to collect those little airplane taxi matchbox cars that are on every shelf do you? However they would look a lot cooler with your gasser style wheels and a rake.

 

I can’t say I haven’t seen the same in my area. Or the people hitting the spots and buying up everything if they come upon it first. I still enjoy the hunt though and have come to understand that not everytime out will be a hit. I think that’s what makes it extra rewarding when I actually do find something special even if it’s not that often. I’ve been hunting and have seen that very situation. When someone is waiting for the clerk to bring out the sealed case. The person then opens sealed case, snags the TH, the STH and all the good stuff, just leaving what’s not wanted. All is good though, patience is perseverance as they say. Lol and I look at it this way, if I’d always hit when out hunting I’d be broke hahaha

Thank you, I didn’t think it was at the store I went to either. It was stashed behind a few other Easter toys. Nice surprise for sure. I’ve found it pays off to deep look into what’s on the shelves. Lots of stuff I find tends to get miss placed or stocked in odd areas. It truly is a “hunt” lol

looking into what that Camaro is going for on eBay is quite up there. Saw asking prices from the mid 20’s to as high as $75.00

I don’t remember where I bought this, but it was at a grocery store and my daughter came running over to me with it.

 

Not really unreasonable but you have to sell locally. Nobody would pay for shipping on them. You have to find the right buyer that wants all of them. Some of them aren’t really worth anything. My honest opinion, hang onto them.

 

Been away for a bit doing some traveling. Haven’t had any internet. Stopped at a lot of places and only saw a few Hot Wheels at the airport but nothing worth buying.

 

Been stuck on a plane for about 45 minutes now while they are fixing something on the engine. Probably going to miss are connecting flight back home.
