2005 Tacoma Auto Trans NO Dipstick
I don't want to go to "Temp Check Mode "
commen sense tells me to run trans thru gears for 15 minutes warm up
    i drained 4.5 liters
I dropped pan and changed trans filter
I added 6 liters of fluid and over fill plug does not release any fluid
Do i keep adding fluid until Over fill plug drips fluid ?
    With engine running ?
    thanks

You have to check the fluid idling at the correct temperature (95-115F) to check it properly so you can't really drive it first as you would be over temp.

Easiest way to check fluid temp is with a scan tool that can read transmission data.

My method on Toyota's has been to add a bit more than I think it will take, get it up to temp, and pull the check plug. If fluid runs out wait till it slows to a trickle, if not add fluid until it does.

Failure to check it at the proper temperature may result in overfilling or underfilling as transmission fluif expands and contracts with temperature.
