    Sup tacoma world,

I have OEM headlights and purchased the headlights attached to this post a few years ago. Back then I had attempted to install but the electrical connections didn’t fit. I had talked to customer service but it’s been a while. I’m motivated again to make this work so I’m curious if this is something that looks familiar to anyone and can share some guidance.

There is a guy around here that makes conversions for OE halogen to LED's, and I think others.
You might list what brand those are, I would think that would help.

Your best bet is to take those Akkon lights to your nearest hazardous waste center and stick with your OEM headlights. Why would you want to put a shitty, illegal and poor performing light on your truck and risk your own safety and the safety of those around you. If you can afford it, the only headlight upgrade you should be making is to the 2020 LED OEM Tacoma lights, which run around $1500 including the wiring harness and are among the best lights you can put on your truck, and never forget that form follows function.

Akkons are ass. Anything other than OEM LEDs and Morimotos are total garbage.

Daveesa sells wiring harnesses for trd halogen headlights with "L" shaped led drl to connect to OEM LEDs. And last I knew puppypunter sold the SR5 versions for SR5 orange bulb drl halogens to convert to OEM LED

Morimotos are 100% plug and play but cost as much or more than OEMs. They also have a pretty sharp line where it's black vs see clear as day, which doesn't bother me but might bother some ppl.

Alpharex, Akkon, LED bulbs = all garbage

    OEM LED headlights ($1200) + a harness built by @daveeasa for TRD Off-Road or @Puppypunter for SR5/SR.

Just mount a couple of flashlights behind the lenses with some duct tape, it'll be fine.

@BevTaco Those plugs are for the SR/SR5. They could be made to work, but I am not sure if you would fully need to convert the electrical signals, or just the connectors. Do you have a pic of the front of the headlight? Looking at Akkons website, they have a few different models for the SRs.

So far I don’t know of anyone who went TRD to SR headlights. Unless Johnny has done one of those.
