I've found many threads on this but everyone seems to have gone down a different path to resolve the issue in each case. I'm wondering as it seems to happen a lot if there is some over arching cause or good first troubleshooting steps to take. After installing my suspension on my 2021 off road I had a number of dash lights on. TSS and everything related is disabled. I expected this as I still have the OEM OR grill and it seems pretty straight forward to resolve. What I did not expect was disabled VSC/abs/traction control/4wd.

    Suspension:
    Elevate Suspension UCA
    Fox 2.5 Performance Elite
    ECGS bushing
    Deaver Expedition stage 2
AccuTune u-bolt flip and bump stop

    Techstream codes:
    ABS/VSC/TRAC
C1405 Open or Short in Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit
C1445 Vehicle Driven with Steering Angle Sensor not Initialized
    Pre-Collision 2
    C1A50 Brake System Malfunction

I found instruction on the VSC zero point calibration. the obd port does not have a wire running to one of the pins that you are suppose to jump so I do not think this will work in my case. I inspected as much of the wire harness/connections/sensor as I could see on all four corners and I do not see any physical damage. It looks like an airbag sensor on front lh may tie into the system. I was pulling on the wiring in this area quit a bit installing the new UCA bolt but again no visible damage to anything. It would be relatively inexpensive to replace the front rh harness and/or sensor but wondering if anyone else has any other thoughts before I try to find a dealer to chase it down for me. Thanks!

For example... I wonder if this is happening because people are turning their ignition to the ON position while the front suspension is uninstalled? I did this a fear times for various reasons...

You broke the speed sensor harness. It’s very very easy to do without any visible damage to the exterior. You absolutely cannot pull or yank on them whatsoever.

agree, everything gets unhappy when a speed sensor is not talking, very easy to troubleshoot also

Everything seems to be pointing to the speed sensor.

FYI, I have the OR grill with a 1-2” lift and have had no issues with TSS or anything else. I was careful to support the hub with a bungee cord while it was disconnected from the UCA to prevent it from tugging on wires and brake lines per the video I watched.

Same here. Lifted 1.75” in the front and zero issues with stock grille. Even got the front hoop.

That reminds me, I need to fab some speed sensor covers this year. Goofing around in the Oregon desert is just begging for a stiff sage branch to reach up and grab one. o_O
