I'd have to check CT, but in RI, you do not get the trade in reduction on a truck. So if I traded in a truck for a car, it would be fine, I would get that reduction. If i traded in a truck for a truck, I'd pay sales tax on the full sale value of the truck, period.

Anything in RI with a bed gets combo plates. Yes, the ridgeline and other unibody trucks as well. Including the Subaru Baja. If it has a bed, it gets a combo plate, and your trade in is NOT reduced from the sale value for taxes.

Just messing around my man. You've got a great truck and I truly hope you're able to claw back at least a little bit of what you've put into it.

Certainly, a testament to the finding the right buyer. I've had great experiences with selling a "built right" build with good documentation. A lot comes in transparency, how you handle the dialogue, and buyer education. Act like a punk kid tha abuses cars, ya, you get skeeved. My last 2 builds and sales I did really well on in cost recovery (relative to costs). Different climate and market then, but I understand the principles of sale.

    previous builds….

I guess this is funny as presented, I was just being transparent I cut the gaudy TRD chrome tip off at the axle so it wouldn’t get mashed in case folks were looking for it.

Yep. We have a flood of people with cash moving here from the West Coast. Why I said you can’t swing a dead cat around without hitting a modded Tacoma. I see them daily, mostly some kid driving them, and during tourist season it is like a parade of well kitted overland rigs in all shapes and sizes.

There is a dealer in Oregon that sells kitted rigs too, but can’t remember their name. Not that it does you any good. You might want to contact Mainline Overland too. They are in your neck of the woods.

All you can do is post it up and see how it goes. You never know there may be that one guy that says yep i'll pay for it. I bought my 2019 a little over a year ago had 20k of upgrades but only 6500 miles on it the guy dumped alot of money into it but never used it. I paid 51k for it some call me crazy and thats fine but all i've done is put a ikamper tent and ironman awning on it. I know i will never get anywhere close to the money I have spent and that is ok with me.

Lol! We keep on threatening of selling everything and hitting the road…

The F-Series we want vs. the one we can afford. :)

You’re going to need a new truck for one of those. The GX550 is nice but it can’t tow 11,000+ pounds which is the lightest LV available.

    You'll need an F250 for that, not a GX550
