Yes, there should be a bolt there. My guess is whoever did the plugs last forgot to put that bolt back.

 

someone do your ERG valve? that is usually how those disappear, at least on the 2nd gens

I dont think anyone has touched this recently. Plugs were done awhile ago so maybe it backed itself out

 

they were saving weight

 

yeah could also see that. mine is the wrong bolt in the hole with a couple washers. found the bolt in the lower control arm later

 

And he knew this in his head. Hehehe. Glad there is help around like this. Got an answer in less than a minute.

I’ve lost more bolts than I care to admit.

Most times are due to corrosion, we have A bolt bin, a legit shop supply to validate the stupid charge.

That's the shitty thing about northern vehicles. For doing plugs, I had to hammer the 10mm socket onto rusted ignition coil bolts on several occasions.
