2024 TRD off-road with less than 100 miles all on the street. Just noticed this by the front passenger size tire…any ideas on what it could be. Thank you, I unfortunately don’t have much mechanical knowledge yet.

It's under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and have them document the issue and make the repairs.

Was thinking that too, but I haven’t used the A/C yet here in CA. Leak happened earlier this morning and came back to it still wet and then pictured is from arrival 4 hours after that. Will the compressor come on even when the Ac is not running. Thanks

Look at the sidewall of the tire. Maybe brake fluid?

Did you check any of the fluid levels?

On the AC compressor note: if you have automatic temperature settings, sometimes the AC will default to being on if it is above 32°F. This is how it was in the 3rd gen and I doubt they changed it in the 4th gen. So keep that in mind.

As for tracing the leak: from what I can see in the photos, which is admittedly limited, you have a skid plate so it is possible that something is above that and the leak happens to be coming out on the passenger side because of that. If it was brake fluid (out of the caliper anyway) you would see something on the tire. Your leak doesn't appear to even be touching the tire so I think you're good there. Doesn't mean the line isn't an issue though. I'm guessing something just didn't get tightened quite enough, assuming this isn't AC drain water.

Does not look like water to me. Op, you can easily touch the fluid on the floor and see if it feels like oil of some sort. Obviously, you need to take her in if it’s not water. Make sure you are not low on engine oil before driving it.

Touch it, if it's not water take it to the dealer. If it's gone the next day it was water.

This is not something to ignore or delay. Check your fluid levels ASAP, particularly your brake fluid and power steering fluid. If either of the brake fluid or power steering reservoirs are empty, do NOT drive the truck, but rather have it towed to a dealership for warranty repair. This is a 2-minute check under the hood. It could be HVAC condensation water, but given the drips down your tire, I'm doubtful.

Actually I see liquid sprayed on the tire. You go through any big puddles before parking it?

This is an interesting post, as a "possible" future 4th Gen owner... I hope it's just water from the AC.

OP once you figure it out please let us know what it was.

Wipe it up with a paper towel and see what color the fluid is.

This! How hard is it to try to identify what fluid it is before running to the internet?

Run your fingers through the fluid, rub them together and then smell. this will tell you what kind of fluid this is. Oil will be slippery, water wet. just don't taste like Cheech and Chong, wash hands thoroughly.
