That sounds like a nice route. Let me know if you want to swing by, I'm taking off work on the 29th and will likely be riding if weather is good.

Also I finally invested in a heated jacket liner (just in time for spring) and wow so awesome what a game changer!

It does SOUND like a nice route but the further I dig into it the less faith I have in it. Earliest ferry out of Cape May leaves at 7:00am and they require you be there no less than 30 minutes early and prefer up to an hour early. Crossing itself takes roughly 90 minutes so this 24 hour plan just lost at least 2 hours of available time. I also had to factor in the 16 miles over water must be made up with 16 road miles later. I was able to make a route of 1022 miles giving me a mere 6 mile cushion and the stops require me to take selfies eating certain things, so once you add in the potential time lost waiting in lines or for your food I fear it pushes me too close for my comfort. It's not that these rides should ever just be a stroll in the park but I can't see setting myself up for failure either.

Heated liner is worth every penny! You'll be surprised how much use you will get out of it.

I'm going to keep messing around with other options but weather permitting I'll be riding that day even if not a full IBA ride. If nothing else maybe we meet for lunch?

 I highly doubt it. I have a feeling I’d never see my bike again if tried.

The ferry is cool but does eat up a lot of time unfortunately, makes sense not wanting to cut it that close...

Keep me posted on your plans but I'm definitely down for lunch. I can head out your way this time or we can pick a spot to meet, good with whatever

I'll have to sign on once I'm at home and sub as well. I have another friend from one of the FJR forums who has a YouTube channel as well. Mostly he does stuff about their RV travels now.

just a couple of things tbh
So the ninja 500 is in and I was able to take a look and sit on it and finally compare a bit to the CBR500r. And tbh this feels like a slightly larger 400. Which isn't a bad thing for how light and flickable the bike feels but the negatives are it still has the dumb bump in the tank that smashes your crotch.. other then that it's a lot that I like about it. The styling is cool (minus this color scheme it's awful lol), it's light and eaaaay to handle it feels like, lower to the ground so I was able to flat foot it very easily, the bike feels more relaxed then the cbr500r as well but still sporty ish, the rear seat and main seat kinda suck thou... The front one is smaller for the rider then the CBR and the passenger seat is smaller as well plus comes to a point on so unsure if the GF would like that or not haha.

ATM not suuure which is the best choice but the CBR u can get used for cheaper so might go that route after the whole strike thing gets sorted out which is next week...

A red ninja feels so wrong... I can't be the only one with that opinion, right?
