Just got the truck 3 months ago, CPO with 700 miles. I was looking at adding ppf and when I really got up close, it looks like there is already a ppf there. Does this look like ppf or is this on all tacomas?
    And happy st patties weekend!

I believe it was a accessory option, as in it was installed from the factory or possibly a port option. Do you have the window sticker?

edit: its a factory option. XF210 option code.

Mine was a port option. If that's what you have you'd see it stop about 4-5 inches up the hood. They did a great job with mine at half the cost my other cars cost me for xpel.

Awesome- that’s a great added bonus I wasn’t aware of when I bought the truck. Thanks for the confirmation!

Sure does look like PPF. Hopefully a good quality PPF was used and doesn't yellow in a short amount of time.

Definitely looks like the PPF on my truck. Mine was a port-installed option.

Mine came like that too when I bought it. Just watch the roof. I had a rock chip on my roof because they didnt install it there. So if you care about not having vhips take it to a shop and have them install it on the roof and a pillars

I’m getting it ceramic coated which should help increase the hardness and protection

    Yep, that's PPF

I do PPF on all of my vehicles. That investment is worth every penny, no matter what you drive.

If you commute in heavy traffic a lot, you might also consider doing ExoShield, which is like PPF for the windshield. I have ExoShield on another vehicle, and it has saved me from replacing the windshield at least 3 times.
