I replaced the blower motor resistor pig tail 4 months ago since it was melted.

Now it has melted through again.

    What should I do now?
    Should I replace the resistor?

I know this seems to be a common theme on this truck…

You need to replace the resistor and pigtail with the updated parts.
If you have a clamp on ammeter check the current on the blower motor to make sure it's not drawing excessive current (should be no more than about 20 amps on high).

Part numbers and wiring are in the post below.

You may also want to check your blower switch and do the relay mod to keep it from getting melted.

    Copy that.
I have a spare resistor in the meantime. When I plugged it in it only goes to high on all settings. o_O

Anyway I’ll be getting from the stealership the pigtail and resistor from them. Getting tired of fixing this.

But I want to confirm the 07 uses the revised square pigtail?

As my googling is showing conflicting info showing both the square and the older rectangle.

Yes, 05-15 use the same resistor so the updated parts work.
The TSB covers 05-18 models (see file below).

    Thank you for the TSB.
I will attempt to be as methodical as the instructions.

until I get frustrated and call it “good enough”.
