    Hey TW,

I’m workin on rebooting my CVs this weekend and following Timmy’s guide to do it.

When it came to taking the tripod off I noticed his has a snap ring at the top of the spindle above the tripod, but when going to take mine off I noticed my tripod sat flush with the top of the spindle and has a snap ring underneath the tripod.
    (Can post pics if needed)

Does anyone have experience with this and is tripod removal still the same with the setup I have?

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
You need to drop the lower snap ring to gain access to the upper buried inside of the tripod.

Use a soft brass mallet or dead blow to tap down the tripod and gain access to the upper ring. It is sometimes a bit stiff but will come off eventually.
