Big box stores and dealerships have been stocking things that are prone to breakage... so they can sell more a few years out instead of decades out.

This is one of those fantasy ideas I have if I was ever to win the lottery. Start a business to produce simple, useful products that are reliable, able to be repaired at home, and has parts available for reasonable prices. Build a business based on loyal customers that are happy with what they get.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/leprechauns. I'm starting to think the groundhog was right; another sunny warm(ish) day is on tap here.

If it's anything like my Ariens ZT, the oil drain basically comes out directly on top of the drivetrain underneath and makes an unholy mess. I bought a suction tool so I don't have to pull the drain plug. Even so, it makes a mess when I take the filter off no matter how much I try to capture the oil. You'd think some clever engineer would have come up with a better setup by now...

I've been using a minimalist 'slim' wallet for years. A couple of credit cards, driver's license, medical cards, and a couple of twenties, all fit into a thin package. I don't even feel it in my back pocket. I also use a 'man bag' (oof!) ever since I started carrying hearing aid batteries -- there ain't no way to put them in a normal wallet. All of the extra cards and whatnot stay in there. Most of the time I just carry the thin one with me.

A little something every chance we get.
I have my fingers crossed that the return to concrete is the right choice! The truck race showed signs of the "old track" last night, but they put that dang traction compound down. Maybe if they only allowed skinny tires, it could be great!

:rain::pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! :fingerscrossed: for one more round of rain this morning - we've made it to 0.6" since Friday, and it's been the kind that just gets stuff dirty. I know I'm getting old, because just 40 miles down I-35 in the sort of rain, 3 wide all the way, trying to find a gap that wasn't there; was NOT the kind of driving I enjoy at all. Wife got her sewing machine (Christmas present for the son), but you would have thought it was their personal property as hard as they made it to purchase! That headache lasted the rest of the day.

So how would you go about getting a sunrise photo without a contrail?
I'm beginning to believe the greatest cause of air pollution is flying right over us.

That’s tough to hear, Detroit once was a great city, really helped win WW2. I moved in 1980, still have family in the suburbs.

My wife is from Detroit, and I have a lot of family still living there. One of my nephews is active politically, with the restoration of historic buildings, and restoring space for public use. He lives in the Warren area and it is not uncommon to see boarded up homes on his street. He lives in the home he grew up in and is slowly restoring it back into shape. The neighbors on the block are invested in the community and help each other out. From his social media posts, I sort of keep up with the city in general. Some neighborhoods have been torn down and hauled away but the utility infrastructure, for the most part, has been left in place. I doubt that the area will reclaim the auto manufacturing crown, but it is making major headway as an IT city especially with graphic arts.

Good morning. Monday again and the start to a new week. Going to get busy out in the yard this week.

Well the sun didn’t make it out until late yesterday, so I got a bit of inside work and grocery shopping done. A good day.
Today 59* and supposedly sunny. 60s the next few days and sunny! Yeaha, excellent days for spring yard work! Got to put up a rabbit proof fence around my spinach boxes. There were 4 in the yard most of yesterday!
Kettlebell day today, then it will be warm enough to get outside and soak up some vitamin D!
Have a great day everyone and do something special for yourself!

Yesterday's Cup race was crazy with all the tire failures and all that marbled up rubber all over the track surface . They should have red flagged the race at the mid point of the race and brought out the track sweepers and blowers and cleaned the track surface

Nascar and Goodyear have alot questions to answer over the traction adhesive " resin " used and the marbles all over the racing surface
