Installed the Start x remote start. Works great. But my TPMS warning is on whether I use the key or the remote start. Not sure what to do. I did have to tap the tpms wire but now wondering if I connected the tap incorrectly.

How do I get these things off to try again without cutting more kf the factory wire?

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
One challenge with today's vehicles is the interconnections between all things electrical and how the vehicle's computer components interact with everything.
Used to be that you could just tap a hot wire almost anywhere to power add-ons.
Not any more. Which is why the Caution keeps getting repeated about disconnecting the battery's negative cable BEFORE doing anything electrical. Even something as simple a replacing a lightbulb can result in confusing error message or downright failure of something.
I apologize for not having a suggestion as to how to resolve.
Perhaps @caribe makaira may have some helpful thoughts.

I have that same Error with my remote start on my SR5 but it is only when I use the remote start. I have a different brand of remote start. I got mine From My Push Cart
    https://shop.mypushcart.com/?gad_so...DWPaVKKUUVcozmAFFLPpeV5oONqPEyUQaAoEyEALw_wcB

The install did have me cut and splice in to a wire for the TPMS. That part I was most nervous about getting right as there is not wire to work with.
Mine sets the error but the TPMS light goes out as soon as you shift in to gear. When I bought mine I knew that this would happen and I can live with that.
I think you should contact your vendor for some help.

I fixed it. I've never used "butt clamps" like that but it was a bad connection on both ends of tpms sensor. Remotr start works perfectly now. Doesn't shut off when I open the door, tpms sensors work, and all is gravy

You got it. Bad connection is the cause of that warning with the remote start. Glad it works and enjoy!
