Just picked up this clean 2006 Prerunner today. I believe it’s my 28th Toyota in my lifetime. My question is what year are these wheels off of. It’s driving me nuts that I can’t put my thumb on it being such a loyal Toyota guy. I feel like they are 4Runner wheels.
    Thanks guys

Either 4Runner or 3rd Gen Tacoma Limited. Looks good on the truck though.

I’m still unsure about the looks but they probably outweigh the hassle of trying to swap someone for a clean set of the correct wheels.

Wheels are from a 5th gen 4Runner TRD Off Road. I think they also came on the 4Runner Trail and one of the FJ Cruiser models in their last years

I think they look great on there, but I am biased . I have a set of these and a set of the early 5th gen Trail wheels I swap back and forth. These are a 1/2 inch wider with less offset than the factory Tacoma wheels, so it opens up options for larger/wider tires with less chance of rubbing on frame and upper control arms

I will say they tuck up inside the fenders just right with 265/70s on them

BTW Congrats on your 28th Toyota. We have been Toyota folks since the 1980s but don't even come close to that number.

I probably wheel and deal a little too much lol. I’m 41 and bought my first one at 17. A 1983 SR5 4wd factory sunroof/Ac/ and headlight mesh guards. It still sits under a Lean to off my garage to this day. I’ll attach a photo of the Mrs and I in the back of it riding off on our wedding day. Also I’ll attach a photo of the 1st gen 4wd pickup dad brought home lightly used when I was 6 years old. I was hooked from that day on.
    Thanks for the reply.
