    All,

Looking to see if anyone can inform me what the torque should be for these two bolts. Front caliper on a 2006 4wd.

If it has been posted forgive me, I did look but keep finding results for the fixed caliper mounting bolts which I have...

And can someone let me know what these bolts are for?

    Thank you!!!

Those are big bolts, you likely can’t over torque them by hand with a normal ratchet
    Crank ‘em

@545 I started with 91 ft lbs as they are the same size as the fixed caliper mounting bolts. But it was feeling like I was about to snap one of them. You know the feeling that your gut says, stop stupid and you go heck no I'm gonna send it.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
They are the bolts that hold the caliper halves together. Like wheel studs, turn them until they break, then back off 1/4 turn. In other words: 91 ft/lb.

I doubt they need to be that tight.
Look at the front of the caliper.
The threads stick out some and the treads are not “full”.
If you look, you’ll see what I am talking about.

Good and snug, plus a tad more should do.
I’d rather them leak a bit, and tighten them if needed, than strip them.
