I'm interested in solid mounts just depends on pricing honestly though.

For those who are interested in the Superchargers Online pulley setup which has beefer nsk bearings than stock, here is what is available.

    SCIDLIERSl.png

    SCOL Part #056-052023
2.3” Ribbed Pulley (Fits upper sc bracket, top pulley)
    IMG_0153.jpg

    SCOL Part#: 056-051021
2.15” Smooth Pulley (Fits upper sc bracket - bottom pulley, also fits the tensioner.)
    IMG_0150.jpg
    IMG_0151.jpg
    IMG_0152.jpg

    SCOL Part#:056-052030
3.00 Ribbed Pulley (Lowest Idler Pulley on lower stud next to sc crank pulley). Comes with new machined spacers to fit properly with wider bearing.
    IMG_0154.jpgIMG_0161.jpg
So the only pulley we do not have a replacement for is the middle idler pulley (Smooth 3” pulley). I am not sure why SCOL didn’t create this, they could have just copied the ribbed pulley and made it smooth and it would be a perfect setup. It would most likely require a new machined spacer as well. This bearing has a better chance at life since it’s a 3.0 sized it doesn’t have to spin as fast as the 2.15 and 2.3 counter parts how ever it is only using a 6203 bearing instead of a 6303 for some reason. I ordered a new pulley as well and I noticed magnuson has changed the design imo for the worst. Check these photos:
    IMG_0157.jpg IMG_0158.jpg
It may be hard to tell from the lighting, how ever the back no longer has a stop for the bearing. This means it can be pressed in/out from both directions, the down side of this being you can potentially press it too far in or too far out. At the time of writing this post the pulley/bearing combo was $40 at SCOL which isn’t horrible. I just think we can do better. There is a ton of room to work with in this pulley so I don’t see why we cannot have someone make a simple 3.0 pulley that houses a double roller bearing with a groove for a snap ring. This would greatly improve bearing life in my opinion. I haven’t started searching to see what specific bearing SCOL is using for their double roller bearing setup, I know they are using nsk bearings though so I just need to determine what specific size they are. Nsk is notorious for making it difficult to find as most of these bearings have little useful information written on them. I didn’t get a chance to install these today as I wasn’t expecting them to show up on a Sunday. I am going to edit this post in a moment with a picture of the stock pulley setup and which part numbers go where in case anyone is confused.

@Murphinator rad man! Thanks for taking the plunge. Those look exactly like I was thinking. With the 3.0 smooth. I feel like it's better just to order a replacement bearing if the pulley is in good order. And maybe should have waited instead of ordering a LFP tensioner to avoid grinding. Now I know!

I think I am going to contact Nate at smoothflow and see if he could possibly create us a pulley for that 3.0 smooth that will house the same bearing as the rest of the SCOL setup with a snapring as a retainer. I feel bad I ordered a quickchange pulley from him and I still have yet to install it. I was going to trim my snout and put it on but I seem to have misplaced my snout cutter lol. Anyway, I just need to first figure out what size bearings SCOL is using. I will see if he is even interested in doing something like this, I am assuming if he is he will require a MOQ to attempt something new like this so if that's the case I will let everyone here know so we can hopefully gather enough people to get this thing a go. Most of our stock idler pulleys are double rollers so I don't see why our supercharger setup should be any different, if anything the supercharger pulleys are under a lot more stress and the 3 small pulleys definitely have high RPMs which the bearings definitely aren't made to withstand such abuse.

@Murphinator I'm in for this. Nate definitely does good work and hopefully he can take care of us. Would be better if he just did a full replacement set for us lol.

I agree lol. I think SCOL is using a 2203, 5203, or 3203 bearing. It's really hard to say for sure because my dial caliper battery is dead, so I'm having issues getting a 100% measurement on width. It's definitely 40 mm OD and 17mm ID, width I am having trouble measuring for sure unless I sacrifice one of these bearings and press it out. I just emailed Nate I will see what he thinks about all this.

All this double bearing shit is silly. Double roller doesn’t improve long life. And replacing a simple high grade bearing vs a whole new pulley is ridiculous

Please. Swapping out a OEM bearing yearly just isn’t true. You are barely spinning these bearings at a 2.85!

I guess I just beat on my truck harder than most people on here. You got me on the OEM part since I haven't found a source for the OEM bearings I have been using the timken's that are posted on the 1st post.

Ha! I was running 2.55 before you even thought about getting a Tacoma. Any high quality bearing will fail if not maintained with high tolerance grease! ;)

Don't you live in Colorado? A 2.5 pulley down here is like making stock boost levels here at sea level.

I was replacing bearings on mine almost yearly as well prior to pulling the Taco from daily driver duties. Coincidentally it was always Timkens which were screwing me. I get the feeling these aftermarkets are not grease packing their bearings correctly to what they should be direct from the mfr. so they are failing faster than they should be. Couple that with the fact that Murph uses his truck as a daily, he probably puts a lot of miles on it. Not all of us have time to pop open seals on new bearings and repack them when they should be properly packed in the first place.

Someone posted something else pages ago as far as a mod or a good source for a mod. You or anyone else reading this please send me the post # so I can add it.

It's been difficult to be on here on the count of my kid taking up all of my time. That is the big reason for my silence.

Ok, I am waiting to hear back on what I can offer with pricing, but there is a chance for a Group Buy.

We need to get 10+ of a specific set since we are all second-gen Tacomas, or at least assuming.

Based on the quick responses and pending pricing. We can also open this up to anyone else but if there are 4/5 other folks interested in either, Let me know. If needed ill start another thread.

GB/Invoices will be handled via Holy Horsepower and were a dealer for Solid Offroad.

    Question, I’ve got a 2wd X-Runner w/manual trans. Will I need different mounts for engine and/or trans?

    good question.

I believe the Motor Mount is universal across 4WD and 2WD. When it comes to 4WD, it's the same Transmission mount, but for 2WD, it is a different Transmission mount.

The Motor Mount and Trans Mount for 4WD also work with FJ Cruisers and 4th and 5th Gen 4Runners.

Let's see how it goes. If we don't have enough, I can likely work out a deal on the 2WD one, but it may not be the same as the full GB price.
