    Those EGR gaskets come in two sizes. One is for federal California emissions or such. I had trouble getting the correct gaskets too. Good luck

    Did you see the rod on Egr move when suction put on part?

    (unless damaged, I would have NP reusing those new gaskets u just bought/installed)

    Man,
    If that vacuum valve moves when sucking applied…….

    I would check Egr temp sensor (unknown if part of Egr valve assembly)
    Or
    Pull off your exhaust manifold heat shield and see if header has a visible crack
    Per the causations in pg.1 ……b4 I laid down $$ for a new Egr

    No these trucks are so well made there's only about 6 or 7 trouble spots depending on whether you have the 4 bangers or the 5vz...

    After almost 30 years think you got your money's worth out of those parts.......just got to know which ones....


    .....thats reason most of you are here.....right.


    Egr's clog.......lbj's fail, crimp top radiators blow,..... all fail eventually.
