3rd gen Tacoma axle on first gen

    2004 Tacoma SC TRD 4x4 3.4L V6
    Has anyone put a 3rd gen rear axle on a first gen? I have an opportunity to purchase one from and a friend, and I'm wondering what issues I may encounter.

    I plan to do long travel and the additional width will be great to help match the track of the front, and this axle has 4.88 gearing already, which I am planning on going to.

    Any advice welcome!
