Meh, I agree with Cap. It's definitely tougher to undo, but I would always get my stuff loose with just a basic wrench and muscle. No extras. I used to dab it on the motorcycle caliper bolts all the time... cause for me that was the last thing I wanted coming loose at (speed limit + 1*(unlisted additive speed for legal purposes)) mph...

You can see it's on bolt head, threads of those other bolts, and the frame/brackets are tinted red/pink. I think it's antifreeze. Look at it closely. Bet it wipes off.

^OP's picture shows the tow hitch bracket. Antifreeze isn't expected there.

^Makes sense. It's a bumper-to-bumper warranty, and those bolts hold the bumper on.

Looks like thread locker, you'll see bolts throughout the vehicle with the same red residue on the threads

No way is that threadlocker, too uniform on (all of) the threads and it's also on the heads' nooks and crannies. Anything they'd use here in production would be the paste-smudge type stuff as someone else posted a picture of. My money is on surface rust or maybe if your local soil has a lot of clay, maybe a little bit of that (but I'm not seeing it elsewhere really except maybe that spot on the bottom corner of where that bracket is bent, so that brings me back to rust..).

If you ever remove any of the bolts in the frame you will find they are all coated fully in that same red thread locker compound.

Its just a tint in the sealer used over the aluminum flake coating on the bolts. Some have a bit of a green tint, some have a red tint. I remember seeing that on the running board kits we'd put on 4runners back at the dealer.

Honda uses a compound on quite a few bolts. That looks just like this. While it is red, it is a medium strength thread locker
