I noticed my Tacoma (2006 V6 double cab, 4x4, TRD Off Road) has 4 catalytic converters...two that come off the headers and two more after that. So really, just 2 sets of 2 (1 set on each side)...

Question is - can I pass emissions in Nevada if I got rid of the ones on the headers? I'm thinking about going with aftermarket headers that don't have cats on them. Way cheaper than the ones with cats. Thanks!

I haven't seen them do any visual checks but as long as you are not throwing any ECU codes, you should be able to pass. You may need to do some O2 sensor bypass tricks.
