Gen3 issues with oiling steep incline?

Notice the smoke? That's the engine burning oil pumped up through the PCV valve. It's a common problem with the Jeep 3.6L too. Mitigation is with a catch can. There are many vendors for it.

The only thing to watch for is the catch can's sieve element can't be restrictive, or it can cause crankcase pressure buildup and main seal leaks.

 

In North Carolina the soil is not a stable thick layer of "clay" like Ohio and Indiana. When planning a house-build you need a certified geological survey because while one house can have a basement the house next to it cannot. They accomplish "basement" in many bases by using the blind-side of the hill (away from the street). Some of the house have steep driveways to the back of the property for parking since the street-side may not have enough room for parking.

 

Damn, looks like they've worked on that road at least twice since the original clusterfuk.
Wonder who foot the bill for that ongoing disaster..

 

Even my Corolla had occasional difficulty with some short-but-steep driveway access to businesses. Not too often but I did watch for it. In the picture, that vehicle may have enough issues now.

 

Should have been graded like that in first place. Can’t even believe it got the go ahead originally.

more on the truck, on bags but yeah.. Buddy of mine used to have CCLB Silverado slammed, it had problems getting into some parking lots.
