Wire ID 2014 - behind head unit yellow/back & purple/white

I'm replacing an after-market head unit with another after-market head unit.
When i pulled the old stereo, i found a couple of wires that had been cut and taped off, i guess they are not important but I'm wondering if they could provide some function i didn't have before.

One is Yellow with black stripe (not the solid yellow power wire)
One is purple or lavender with white stripe.

 

Pretty sure the Violet/White wire is the vehicle speed signal, I'll have to look what the Yellow/Black is.

 

The Yellow/Black wire is one of the inputs from the steering wheel controls, the Violet/White could be a steering wheel control input or the vehicle speed signal wire.
