    IMG_8311.jpg Just got an alignment after putting on JBA uppers and new inner and outer tie rods. Curious is these are good specs. I’m running 2.5” lift and 265/75/16’s

    That is a reasonable alignment from a tire wear perspective. How does it drive? Have you had it at highway speeds yet?

    Those are basically OEM numbers that you'd expect on a non lifted truck. Personally, I prefer higher Caster numbers on my lifted rig. The closer to 3° positive while still maintaining 0° Camber & Toe, the more stable it is at higher speeds. With higher Caster, the more resistant it is to side wind gusts or worn ruts in the truck lane. Less darty.

    Most aftermarket UCA add in 2° of positive Caster. I thought the JBAs did that too. If so, I would think a properly motivated alignment tech should be able to get more Caster out of it. That is only possible if your lower control arm frame adjusters are moving freely as they should.

    Yeah that’s what I thought. Doing my lift in a two stage process. Did all the upper arms and tie rods prior to getting new shocks. When I get the icons I’m planning on I’ll ask for more caster if I feel it’s needed. Thanks

    I'd definitely want more caster on a lifted truck. I have 5° of caster on mine and love the way it drives. It does have aftermarket UCAs and LCAs that allow me to get that much though.

    That’s funny aim running same set up now and I’m getting inner coupling all 4 tires need to get an alignment asap at a shop that do lifted trucks .

    Got icons in, and aligned. However took it to Les Schwab out of convenience and told them I wanted around +3°of caster. Got it back with the number and I have 3.5ish° of caster and .7° of camber and 0° toe. Picked it up after close so no one to complain to. Love the way it feels driving, however I have some concerns about tire wear. Is .7-.8° of camber too much? I know my first mistake was taking it to Les Schwab but curious how my tires will wear

    Good to hear you like the way it drives. I suspect tire wear will not be an issue with zero toe and +.0.7° of camber should not be a problem.

    If you got a printed spec sheet from schwabie post up an image of it.

    What LCA's do you have?

    I've always asked the alignment tech to push everything forward as much as possible for tire clearance reasons, but that also means little to no positive caster and darty steering with stock uca/lca. Surprisingly I have great tire wear. I was amazed at how many miles I got out of these Duratracs.

    It would be nice if there are LCA's that position the wheel forward more than stock allowing at least factory caster spec without the tire nearing the back of the wheel well.

    Negative camber. I can see why it drives nice. Back to center is good I'll bet. I would be happy with that.

    I have Solo stock length LCAs that push the LBJ forward an inch. Along with Icon UCAs, I’m at 5 degrees of caster, and I absolutely love the way my truck drives.

    Perfect. The people at Les Schwab had me second guessing. They were confused as to why I wanted more caster than the 1° they previously gave me. And kept on emphasizing that it has no benefit. Extremely Happy with how it drives so I’m glad I held my ground haha.
