Hopefully you get better soon. I would hold off. If it is hard coordinating schedules, no need to put yourself through doing that multiple times. Once it’s fixed, one and done

I second this. Could not have explained this better. After running OvTune for 6 yrs on my 2016 manual waiting for the Ultimate tune witch never came,I was not watching the forums anymore and content with what a had until I picked up my 2023. Came back to TW and settled on Yota Werx and flashed BH2.0 WW last fall and  what a leap from what I had!!.liked it so much I was content with it.how much better could BH AD be :notsure:. until actually flashing it for other reasons and woa!! By far the best shifting I have ever done was with AD.could use a touch more power in coasting in idle as I have stalled it a few times particularly in reverse.

That's what I noticed, it requires a little more throttle input than the previous version but easy to get accustomed to. It is indeed awesome haha

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to @Kevinpd325 for all of his hard work on this.

I've been sharing logs from my 2021 that have hopefully helped to identify the "surging issue".

Kevin was really helpful in explaining to me how to actually create logs for them to analyze.

For the past few weeks my wife has even been saying my truck is driving weird. With the files I got from Kevin earlier this week (and we just did a 250 mile trip) things were soooo much improved!

I got another set of files this evening and will flash them tomorrow, but it is clear that they have been working really hard to address issues and responding to feedback.

    Much appreciated @mZiggy and @Kevinpd325 .

    @iexc @Menjivar54

are you guys running the AD version with or without a bunch of added weight in the form of armor/skids/etc? I have a similar experience to both of you and have loved the BH2.0 but flashed the WW version since my truck is fairly close to stock. slightly bigger tires, but no armor or other weight...

I read another post somewhere that someone said AD version is mostly for trucks with much larger tires and/or weight

I’m 265/75/16, 225lbs of armor, and a Gobi roof rack running WW and love it. Excluding heavy towing, this truck/tune has more power than I need. I’m rarely above 3.5k rpm. Only time I am, is for serious highway onramp needs.

There’s a wide range of needs with apparently similar satisfaction.

hoping the bug is gone and 04B04 will be re-released soon - that is if it was confirmed in the versions (ecu's) which had the issue(s).

@Kevinpd325 any thoughts - or update? I can reply to the original email I received that contained the Tune Package if that helps you look into and identify if my tune was corrupt. LMK. Thanks.

I don't have any added weight aside from the OEM TRD skid plate

Alex of Doekter Tuned is mistaken. There is not a merger.

Blackhawk 2.0 is being patched, to include Kevin's work to methodically root out the issue and address it accordingly rather than just putting a band-aid over it.

Based on ^^^^ this I'd say the Mods need to lock and delete the post (s) by "Alex of Doekter." Nothing honorable in that type of post. JMO.

Actually I don't really care about that in this instance. Let it go in my opinion.

Although I will admit that I don't particularly care for the part of the post that says he has tried YotaWerx Blackhawk for the 2020+ 4Runner when in fact he hasn't, as he only has 02.0 and 02.1 files, which predate any "Blackhawk" files for the 2020+ 4Runner by several months.

That said, everyone has different tastes and preferences. It would be naive to expect any one calibration out there to satisfy literally every single person. I certainly do not begrudge him for feeling that KDMax's calibration offering was superior.
