97 Toyo Tacoma 2.4L 5speed x-cab. I have now gone through the terror of removing the bolt from hell to remove broken harmonic balancer, I tried every method listed on various Toyo forums, 2 different 1/2 air impact wrenches, bump start method, pull handle, success came with wrapping old belts around pulleys to keep crankshaft from turning 1/2 pull handle and 5 foot extension! when bolt finally broke loose sounded like shotgun going off!! ordered off of Rock Auto's obsolete closeout listing. FYI 1 gen owners continue to check Rock Auto obsolete closeout listings ongoing for very good deals on parts of all kinds for our Taco's!

Yeah, can be a mother to get some of those out. All those methods failed for me on a vq4.0, had to get the oxy acetylene torch out. Heating it was enough, warped the bolt head so it wasn’t stuck to the pulley as much and then the m18 high torque broke it free, barely

Laying the breaker bar across the frame on driver side and turning the key didn't do it?
