    Hi,
Got my 3rd back from ECGS with e-locker installed. All my witness marks are gone so I can't tell which side is up. Obviously the axle shafts need to orient horizontal but how to tell top from bottom?IMG_20240127_154622551.jpg

Viewing at an axle from the opposite side as the pinion, the ring gear will be to the left of the pinion.

Engines rotate counterclockwise when looking at the flywheel so you can always figure it out that way as well.

Thanks for the help, I believe this is correct. It will only go in 1 way and the wiring harness is up.

I just put mine in and found the following

    1. it is not good in being a “high pinion” or whatever it’s called where it goes in from the top for better clearance and possibly more strength + better angles like a well designed 4x4. No. It is the opposite. The bottom.

    2. the big angled ridges are on the top

    3. Looking at the diff, laying on the floor, from the front of it, the top right corner has two holes closer together than the rest of them. I assume that’s to line it up.
