Hey guys, I really like the idea of the ditch lights, I do allot of off road driving while hunting in the middle of nowhere and it's nice to have the extra light on the sides of the road. However I am not a fan of the lights mounted up by the hood/windshield door jam, I just personally think it looks stupid, however it's functional. Do any of you guys have them hidden a little better somewhere? How would pod lights work in the grill? A full blown hidden light bar in the grill may be a little overkill for me. Lemme see some pics of your setup..

A-pillar/hood mounts gove you the advantage of filling in the area closer to the cab along the hood. So for slow going on trails/access roads I'd recommend ditch lights.

Plenty of space behind the grille for lights, but your grille can block a lot of the extra light from them unless you start chopping the grille up. I currentlt have my SS5s behind my grille on a bay area metal fab mounting bar, but I'm looking forward to mounting them externally when I mount up my bumper for that reason. They're bright, but the grille really fuzzes up the beam pattern compared to externally mounting.

There have been some members who have done a single LED pod mounted into their mirrors, but I don't have any handy links for you, you'd need to search. Can't do that with larger pods either.

I would think that grille mount is going to be a disadvantage for near field ditch illumination. Some people do mount theirs in the fog position though.

I'm thinking if you do a grille light, do a 32" bar in a flood or combo pattern. That will give you plenty of foreground coverage, it just won't be as much on the extreme wing coverage.

That said, A pillar pods are cool. :cookiemonster::cookiemonster::cookiemonster::cookiemonster:

That's like putting tape over a flashlight. Have you considered a lower profile light like diode dynamics ssc1's or ssc2's? Baja designs make a few as well.

    Hey @taintedtattoo,

Consider adding some auxiliary lighting to your rig to enhance visibility during hunting or camping trips in low-light areas. If the A-pillar light mount isn't your preference, upgrading your fog pocket kit could be a suitable alternative. At Baja Designs, we provide a plug-and-play fog light replacement featuring our Squadron Sports. This option not only boosts your light output but also serves as a solid foundation for building a customized lighting package tailored to your requirements. We also have a handful of plug-and-play options that I will link down below if you would like to check these out. For any other questions or would like more information about our products please feel free to email me at bill@bajadesings.com

    Best,
    Bill
