Looking to mount a Sherpa crows nest... what rails would you recommend? Was looking at the Yakima HD rails with cap nuts... your thoughts?

I think you just want to check the weight ratings of the shell (~300-500) and the crows nest. I doubt the rails will be your weak point. I've had yakima rails + yakima crossbars (not a basket / crows nest) on my tacoma for 15+ years and never had an issue with the rails. The camper shell is on its last legs ... back glass has shattered twice. front window no longer closes and I have to strap it down when wheeling ... but I've never had an issue with he rails and loading it down, mostly with surfboards and misc gear for the coast and plenty of wheeling around.

I'd take a look at the Rhino Rack lineup. I've had Yakima, Thule and Rhino. I found the quality of the Rhino Rack products to be superior.
