Thank you for that. Frame extension, which you guys call impact bar. The purpose of which is to... absorb impacts? That would otherwise impact the lower control arms? Sooo, they are LCA bumpers?

 

Replaced the boxes with a pair of these - one each side - drilled for solid bolting and made to use 3/4 shackles. They are 1.0 thick chunks of 6061 T6 forged aluminum bar - chickens could use steel I suppose. They were sized to fit exactly in the crossmember.

When I have used them, I also used a tree saver strap to twin them - to share the load across the little x-member. The vertical orientation of the shackles keeps them up off the ground and aligns quickly.

I took mine out when I changed to a steel bumper

 

Same. Its been 9ish years since I took the stock bumper off of mine and I had no clue what it could be, especially without pictures at the start.

 

Sorry Bud, still not a bumper.
