Need a bumper light bar.. tell me what to get

    I need the mounting brackets and a light bar that will fit in the stock bumper of my 02 prerunner

    Flatbed, Bilstein/OME 883 lifted, ARB bumper, Warn M8000, Onboard air, Onboard water system, Lights, Lights, Lights
    I don't, or didn't in 2013 or 14, know of a bracket by an aftermarket company, so I built one myself.
    I took some 1/4 by 1-1/2 inch flat bar wide enough to span across the crush cans behind the bumper welded a couple of tabs to the front of that bar (could also be bolted) that will move the light bar as far forward as you want it, and secure it to the crush cans with a couple of 'square' U-bolts, then center and mount your light to that bar.

    The bracket I ended up building.

    The two small lights next to the plate are mounted with that bracket, but without the plate could easily be a light bar.20160623_171150.jpg
    The two lights next to the plate are how they ended up being on that bracket. I am sure it would work with a full bar without the plate there. This all changed in 2019 when i put on an ARB bumper.


    To answer another question that may come up. Yes I built the brackets for the light bar above the plate, and the grill as well.
